BOJE
Steffan Boje was born in Luanda/Angola to German parents in the
late sixties. He spent his educational and teenage years in Lisbon/
Portugal and after driving through the USA for a while and a stint
in other countries of the Globe decided to move to London in 1998
were he began his training and subsequent acting career. After
meeting Imogen Kusch, one of his first theatrical productions was
Jean Cocteau’s ‘Orfeo’. Together with Giuseppe Di Orio the trio
founded Hourglass which is now become Klesidra, and acted in, as
well as co-produced, ‘Vasco’ and the international tour of Eduardo
Erba’s ‘Marathon’. Indepently he has worked in the theatre and TV in
the UK at a variety of venues such as Saddler’s Wells, London’s
King’s Head Theatre and Peter Greenaway’s installation at the
Hayward Gallery. His TV and film credits include ‘Stalag Luft’ with
Stephen Fry (ITV), ‘Casualty’, ‘Redcap’, ‘The Dom Joly Show’,
‘Daniel Deronda’ (all for the BBC) and Franco Zeffirelli’s ‘Jane
Eyre’. During the past three years he has produced several films for
the National Film and Television School and the London Film school,
as well as a number of music videos and commercial promos. His first
feature film as a producer is released next year in March. Further
projects include a part in an Italian-English co-production of
Aurelio Grimaldi’s next feature film scheduled to shoot in September
2003 and an adaptation of Ingeborg Bachmann’s powerful radio play
‘The Good God of Manhattan’, to be performed at Rome’s film
‘Studios’ in November 2003. His interest in languages continue to
drive his career as an actor and producer in London and Europe. |
